NovoPacks’ paper‑sleeve shrink film is a specialty LDPE/LLDPE formulation designed for automatic “Thermores‑type” packaging tunnels that wrap copy‑paper reams, notebooks and stationery bundles. Engineered to balance stiffness, shrink force and optical clarity, the film provides a crisp, tight sleeve that protects paper edges from dust and moisture during warehousing and retail display.
Film construction. Produced on precision blown‑film lines, gauges range from 25 µm to 60 µm and are delivered either single‑wound or center‑folded with an inside‑or‑outside slip layer to match your unwinding direction. A controlled free‑shrink of 60–70 % at 130–150 °C ensures wrinkle‑free conformity around A3, A4 and legal‑size reams without dog‑ears.
Surface properties. Low‑COF resin blends allow high‑speed feeding into sleeve formers while still providing enough tack to hold stacked reams in transit. Optional anti‑static masterbatch prevents sheet‑edge dust from clinging to the inner film surface—a common quality requirement for photocopier paper contracts.
Roll formats. Standard lay‑flat widths range from 250 mm to 900 mm; rolls are wound on 76 mm (3‑inch) cores and weigh 15–25 kg for easy manual loading. Perforation, tear‑tape insertion, or inline printing for lot coding can be added at the extrusion or slitting stage.
Regulatory & sustainability. The film is 100 % recyclable polyethylene and meet EU food‑contact and heavy‑metal directives when ordered with compliant resin and ink. NovoPacks can incorporate up to 20 % post‑industrial PCR without affecting shrink tension or clarity.
