Description

NovoPacks’ stretch‑hood film secures palletized loads with a single elastic hood that delivers five‑sided weather protection—no shrink tunnel, straps or stretch‑wrap required. Extruded on advanced co‑ex lines, the film combines linear‑low‑density (LLDPE) cores for elasticity with high‑density or metallocene layers for puncture resistance and memory.

Performance window. Gauges range from 50 µm to 180 µm, delivering 180–220 % stretch on leading hooders while maintaining a tight holding force that resists pallet sway during road or sea transport. Balanced MD/TD tear properties prevent zipper failures at corners, even on irregular brick or fertilizer stacks.

Roll & reel options. Film is supplied lay‑flat to 1  800 mm (fits 1  200 × 1  000 mm pallets up to 2  000 mm height) on jumbo reels (500–1 000 kg) for fewer changeovers in high‑volume lines. Transparent, tinted or fully opaque versions are available; optional UVI packages safeguard outdoor storage for 12–24 months. Surface‑slip coefficients are tuned so the hood slides smoothly over load edges yet grips itself to avoid “ballooning.”

Compliance & sustainability. All formulations are 100 % recyclable polyethylene and can incorporate up to 30 % PCR on request without compromising stretch performance. Food‑grade resins meet EU Regulation 10/2011 for indirect‑contact packaging, and heavy‑metal limits comply with Directive 94/62/EC.
