Polyethylene Packaging Films

Description

NovoPacks supplies polyethylene (PE) packaging films to buyers across Europe, direct from the manufacturer. Our PE film range covers LDPE, LLDPE, and HDPE grades for industrial packaging, agricultural applications, food contact uses, and construction sheeting.

Polyethylene film is one of the most versatile and widely used packaging materials in European industry. Its combination of flexibility, tear resistance, chemical inertness, moisture barrier performance, and low cost per square metre makes it the default choice for a broad range of wrapping, lining, covering, and bag applications.

LDPE, LLDPE, and HDPE Film

The three main PE film grades differ in density and molecular structure, giving each a distinct performance profile. LDPE (low-density polyethylene) film is soft, flexible, and easy to seal, making it the standard choice for bags, liners, and food packaging. LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene) has improved tensile strength and puncture resistance for the same thickness, making it the dominant grade for stretch film and heavy-duty industrial liners. HDPE (high-density polyethylene) film is stiffer and provides better moisture and gas barrier properties, used where dimensional stability and barrier performance are priorities.

Agricultural Films

PE film is used extensively in European agriculture for silage, mulch, tunnel covers, and crop protection. Silage film must withstand outdoor UV exposure, temperature cycling, and puncture from handling, while maintaining an oxygen barrier to ensure proper fermentation. We supply agricultural-grade PE film in the correct grades and specifications for European farming applications.

Liners for FIBC Big Bags

PE liner film is a major application within our own product range. FIBC big bags supplied with PE liners use film manufactured to the same quality standards as our bag production. Food-grade PE liners complying with EU Regulation 10/2011 are available for food contact applications.

Custom Widths, Thicknesses, and Colours

Our PE film is available in standard and custom widths and thicknesses, in clear, black, blue, and other standard colours, with or without UV stabilisation additives. Contact us to discuss your specific requirement.

Key Features

LDPE, LLDPE, and HDPE grades — LDPE for flexible bags and liners, LLDPE for high-strength industrial film, HDPE for stiffness and gas barrier performance.

Food contact grades available — EU Regulation 10/2011 compliant PE film for direct food contact, including liners for food-grade FIBC big bags.

UV-stabilised for outdoor use — UV additives significantly extend the working life of the film in agricultural silage, mulch, and construction sheeting applications.

Custom width and gauge — from 25-micron packaging film up to 250-micron heavy-duty construction sheeting, in standard and custom widths for your converting equipment.

Coloured and opaque options — clear, black, blue, and standard colours available; black PE film for UV shielding, silage, mulch, and light-exclusion applications.

Applications

FIBC bag liners — PE liner film inside FIBC big bags for moisture and contamination barrier; loose-fit and form-fit liners in food-grade and standard PE.

Agricultural silage film — UV-stabilised LLDPE silage film for round bale wrapping and clamp silage covering across Northern and Central Europe.

Packaging bags and sacks — LDPE film for bread bags, produce bags, frozen food bags, courier bags, and light industrial sacks.

Construction sheeting and DPM — heavy-duty PE sheeting as damp proof membrane under floor slabs, for concrete curing, and for site material protection.

Mulch film and crop protection — PE mulch film for weed suppression, soil moisture retention, and soil temperature management in European horticulture and vegetable production.
