Polypropylene Fabric

Description

NovoPacks supplies woven polypropylene (PP) fabric in roll form to converters, bag manufacturers, and industrial buyers across Europe. Our PP fabric range covers a wide range of weave densities, fabric weights, and widths for use in bag production, geotextile applications, furniture underlays, and general industrial uses.

Woven polypropylene fabric is produced by weaving high-tenacity PP tape into a flat or tubular cloth. The resulting material is lightweight, strong, resistant to rot and mildew, and cost-effective compared to equivalent woven natural or synthetic fibre fabrics. These properties have made it the dominant material for industrial bags and sacks worldwide, and an increasingly important material in geotechnical and construction applications.

Fabric Weight and Weave

Our woven PP fabric is available in fabric weights ranging from approximately 50 GSM lightweight fabric up to 200 GSM heavy-duty industrial cloth. Weave density and tape width are specified to achieve the desired balance of strength, porosity, and surface texture. Both flat fabric and tubular fabric for seamless bag body production are available. Custom widths from 30 cm up to 4 metres are produced to your specification.

Laminated PP Fabric

Laminated woven PP fabric — with a bonded polyethylene or polypropylene film layer — is used where moisture resistance on the outer surface of the finished bag or covering is required. Laminated PP fabric is the base material for moisture-resistant woven bags, bulk liner applications, and a range of industrial cover and sheet products.

Geotextile and Construction Applications

Woven PP fabric is used as a geotextile in civil engineering and construction, particularly as a separation layer between soil strata, as a subbase stabilisation membrane under roads and hard-standing, and as a temporary protective ground cover on construction sites. Our geotextile-grade PP fabric is specified to the permeability, strength, and UV resistance requirements of standard civil engineering applications.

Supply to Converters and Bag Manufacturers

We regularly supply PP fabric rolls to bag manufacturers, packaging converters, and industrial fabric fabricators who cut and stitch the fabric into finished products. If you are a converter looking for a reliable, factory-direct fabric supply, contact us to discuss volumes, specifications, and pricing.

Key Features

Wide range of GSM and weave density — 50 GSM lightweight cloth through to 200 GSM heavy-duty fabric, with weave density specified to achieve the required strength and porosity.

Flat and tubular fabric — flat woven PP for covers and sheets; tubular fabric for seamless bag body production in FIBC and woven sack manufacturing.

Laminated for moisture resistance — PP fabric with a bonded PE or PP film laminate for applications requiring external moisture resistance on bags, liners, and industrial sheeting.

Geotextile grade available — specified for civil engineering subbase stabilisation, separation layers, and ground cover with appropriate UV stabilisation and strength characteristics.

Factory-direct supply to converters — rolls supplied direct from the manufacturer to bag makers and industrial fabricators across Europe, without intermediary markup.

Applications

Woven sack and bag manufacturing — raw material rolls for bag manufacturers cutting and stitching PP fabric into finished woven sacks for agricultural, industrial, and retail markets.

FIBC big bag manufacturing — tubular woven PP fabric in higher GSM grades as the primary body material for FIBC bag production lines.

Geotextile and ground stabilisation — woven PP geotextile for road construction, car park subbase, railway stabilisation, and site separation in civil engineering works.

Industrial covers and sheeting — flat and laminated woven PP fabric for agricultural covers, tarps, and heavy-duty outdoor material protection.

Furniture underlays and filtration — woven PP fabric as dust cover and structural underlay in furniture manufacturing, and as filtration and separation media in industrial processes.
